Total Wine & More — a large retailer of beer, wine, spirits and more with stores nationwide — plans to open its first store in the Rio Grande Valley.
The store will be located at the Las Tiendas Shopping Center in McAllen.

Typical stores, according to totalwine.com, have more than 8,000 different wines from various regions globally. They also carry more than 2,500 beers, including popular brands, to craft beers and imports. With spirits, according to its website, they offer more than 3,000 different spirits.

An official opening date has not yet been announced.
