The Vaqueros showed fight in the second half, with the offense finding the endzone twice and scoring 17 points.

UTRGV Highlights:

QB Eddie Lee Marburger went 16-for-24 for 115 yards and threw a touchdown.

Freshman Tony Diaz hauled in a one-handed 2-yard touchdown catch, finishing with 6 receptions for 62 yards.

Freshman QB Aidan Jakobsohn scored a 6-yard rushing touchdown on the final drive.

Defensively, freshman Jaiden Haygood led the way with 11 tackles. TJ Neal and Spencer Rich each added 9 tackles.
