Texas AG Ken Paxton has filed a lawsuit against Johnson & Johnson and its subsidiary Kenvue, accusing them of "deceptively marketing Tylenol to pregnant mothers."

The AG's office alleges the companies knew for decades that prenatal exposure to acetaminophen can lead to a "significantly increased risk of autism and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder but "willfully ignored and attempted to silence the science."

The lawsuit also accuses Johnson & Johnson of illegally transferring Tylenol related liabilities to the new company, Kenvue, in an attempt to "shield their assets" from lawsuits.

“Big Pharma betrayed America by profiting off of pain and pushing pills regardless of the risks. These corporations lied for decades, knowingly endangering millions to line their pockets,” said Attorney General Paxton.
