🚨 PRESS RELEASE 🚨
On Thursday December 26, 2024, at approximately 4:09 p.m., the Alton Police Department Communications Division received a call for service regarding a medical emergency at the 1300 block of North Oak St. Alton, Texas.
Upon arrival, officers and medical personnel discovered a deceased male at the location. The male was later identified as a 15-year-old. The Alton Police Department Criminal Investigation Division responded to the location and discovered the male had an injury to his head. During the course of the investigation two male juveniles, both 15-years-old, were brought in for questioning. The two juveniles were later arrested and charged with tampering with physical evidence.
On the morning of Friday December 27, 2024, an autopsy was performed on the victim. The Hidalgo County Medical Examiner and Coroner's Office determined the head injury was a gunshot wound and ruled the manner of death as homicide. The two juveniles in custody will be charged with murder.
