DHR Health in Edinburg has earned a major national recognition for its diabetes care, receiving the Advanced Inpatient Diabetes Certification from The Joint Commission.

DHR Health is now one of only four hospitals in Texas and fewer than 50 nationwide to hold this elite certification.

This recognition is especially important for the Rio Grande Valley, where 1 in 3 residents lives with diabetes. According to DHR Health, this certification ensures patients receive care that meets the highest national standards, helping to reduce complications and improve recovery.
